Jess Elliott Dennison is a food writer, cook and founder of Elliott’s, her studio in Marchmont, Edinburgh. Here she hosts chefs, runs cookery workshops and tests all her recipes, celebrating simple cooking and life in the kitchen. Jess’s work is inspired by the produce, colours, textures and rituals that each season brings.

Her cookbook Midweek Recipes was a runaway success, becoming our bestselling cookbook ever, and was one of the Spectator's best books of the year. Weekend Recipes followed in 2025, with matched success. Vegetable Recipes is the much anticipated newest addition to the series.
