Grace Curtis

She's back, baby! Friend of the bookshop and absolute delight Grace Curtis joins us again this year to chat about her latest novel, Heaven's Graveyard. Come along and find out the answers to all of our burning questions, including, but not limited to; Do we need proof of divinity to have faith in a modern world? What do you do when you're caught in a lesbian love-triangle, one third of which has been dead for 2000 years? And just how cool are aqueducts?

Be careful what you pray for.

Cod became an archaeologist to chase the ghost of her hero, Aleya Ana-Ulai. History may have written Aleya off as a myth, but Cod is determined to prove she existed, even if it means sifting through relics for the rest of her life.

Then a message arrives summoning her home. Cod's former teacher has found something monumental: the ruins of an enchanted city, slumbering beneath the soil.

This could be the breakthrough they've always dreamed of. But with war brewing, rival powers circling, and ancient magics stirring underfoot, their discovery soon becomes far more trouble than it's worth. Even Cod starts to wonder if some things are better left buried...

Unbury the past in this whip-smart sapphic fantasy mystery, from the Sunday Times bestselling author of Floating Hotel and Idolfire, perfect for fans of Max Gladstone and Hannah Kaner.

About Grace Curtis

Grace Curtis is a freeroaming writer from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. She's the author of science fiction novels Frontier and Floating Hotel, and last year published her first work of fantasy, the Sunday Times bestseller Idolfire. When she's not dreaming up stories, Grace can usually be found up a hill somewhere, climbing or hiking or lolling idly in the grass. Heaven's Graveyard is her fourth and favourite book. There will be more!
