Kara Leigh Ford is an author and potter based just outside of Bath, Somerset. She grew up on the Devon coast, and consequently, her work is sculpted to be reminiscent of lazy summer days next to the ocean. Due to Ford's unique training as a painter before she switched to pottery, she 'works backwards', thinking about colour and glaze before even getting clay onto the wheel.
